while creating real time content, we often develop custom hardware shaders to fit a given purpose.

some of them we like to believe are worth watching, some others are rather common sense, we will post a few up here for you to play with in 3dsmax or even your engine.

those shaders are freeware, feel free to distribute them, as long as you keep those files in their original form and give proper credits to Veloce Interactive and the author.
of course, sales and/or resales of any of the material below is strictly prohibited.

Install Notes
most of those hw shaders are written in hlsl, as fx files.
they will load in nvidia fx composer, and some will display in 3dsmax viewport

to install them in 3dsmax, simply put them in 3dsmax\maps\fx
then use a dx9shader material to load the effect file



Cel Outline Shader 1.0

Cel Outline Shader is a dx vertex shader exposed to 3dsmax 6, 7 and 8.

It uses the most common technique for realtime cartoon outlining, creating a copy of the mesh, pushing the vertices along their normals with inverted culling.
